A Review on Inflammasomes and Immune Checkpoints in Pre-Eclampsia Complicated with Tuberculosis and Human Immune Deficiency Virus

چکیده
The current review evaluates how inflammasomes and immune checkpoints are regulated in pre-eclampsia (PE) associated with tuberculosis (TB) Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV). Studies indicate that such as (NRLP3, NEK7, AIM2) (CLT4, PD-1, TIM3, LAG-3) dysregulated TB- HIV-infected individuals, also pre-eclamptic pregnancies, which explains why pregnant women who either infected TB or HIV have an increased risk of developing PE. Evidence suggests inhibition may assist the development novel anti-inflammatory drugs for prevention management PE patients without infection.

Circulating immune complexes in pre-eclampsia.
Sixteen patients with severe pre-eclampsia had more IgG-containing and C1q-binding circulating soluble immune complexes than did 16 matched women with normal pregnancies. The clinical features of preeclampsia may be explained by damage due to such complexes, although raised complex levels were also present in a few women with normal pregnancies. As immune complexes are so heterogenous in terms ...

1 This recognition was largely driven by the success of ipilim-umab, the monoclonal antibody that targets cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), an inhibitory receptor expressed on activated CD8 + T cells. CTLA-4 attenuates the immune response by countering the activity of CD28, a co-stimulatory receptor. 2 By targeting CTLA-4, ipilimumab effectively takes the " brakes " off T ce...
متن کاملAwareness and method of oral health care among people living with human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome attending Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, Nigeria
BACKGROUND AND AIM: Oral health knowledge and oral health seeking behavior among people living with human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) (PLWHA) have been found to be very low. The importance of education to improve awareness and oral health practices cannot be overemphasized. The study determined the level of awareness, perceived oral status...
متن کاملPrevalence of Human Immune Deficiency Virus in Suspected Tuberculosis Patients Attending Clinics in Benin City NIGERIA
Tuberculosis and HIV have been closely linked since the emergence of acquired immune deficiency syndrome. HIV has contributed to a significant increase in the incidence of tuberculosis worldwide by producing a progressive decline in cell immunity. Four hundred and seventy sputum samples were collected from different clinics in and around Benin City and tested for tuberculosis and HIV. Of the 47...

In this issue of JEM, Taylor et al. (https ://doi .org /10 .1084 /jem .20161653) describe PD-1 as a critical negative regulator of group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC-2s). PD-1 intrinsically controls proliferation and cytokine production of both mouse and human ILC-2s. PD-1 signaling inhibits STAT5 phosphorylation and the removal of this brake by knocking down PD-1 expression or by using anti–PD...
